The President of the African Bar Association has appointed foremost Child Rights advocate Mrs Abiye Tam-George to head its Child Rights committee according to a statement released from its Deputy Secretariat in Lagos and signed by Mrs Nancy Ifionu. The appointment takes effect from the 10th of September for a period of 2 years.

Profile of ABIYE TAM-GEORGE

Abiye Tam- George is a practising lawyer, writer, parenting coach, child rights consultant, educational advocate and a motivational speaker. Her love for education has made her pioneer different seminars and workshops on educational advancement.
As a child rights advocate, she published a book – Children’s Rights (A Handbook for Children and Young Persons) March, 2012. She initiated a popular reading programme for children in schools, titled “Read-a-Book-a-Day”.
She is currently practicing in Lagos, Nigeria.
